If you are getting ready to enter college for the first time or picking up where you previously left off, then I can help you get ready for your future. I have more than 25 years experience teaching IT and Business/Leadership courses at universities, state colleges, and community colleges. I was an academic dean and have run colleges for eight years with as many as 1,000+ students. In addition, I have been a part-time instructor in private middle school and high school. I also have more than 20 years experience in various levels of management in the IT arena.
I can help you decide on a program that meets your capabilities and career goals. Once that is in place, I can be of assistance in choosing the school that is best for you to attend. I will provide you with selection criteria but I will not and should not be the person that makes the final choices. Those are up to you. That means you must first honestly decide on what are your strengths and weaknesses and maybe how to overcome your short comings. Once you are in school, I can provide you with information on how to succeed in the classroom using simple tools such as effective time management, test preparation hints and developing good study habits.
If you want to be successful in today's business world you must develop good written and oral communication skills. Unfortunately, I am not an English major. However, I have years of formal education and experience in preparing and delivering presentations in front of large groups of people including executives and leaders. Remember, an important part of getting ahead is being able to get up and sell your ideas as well as yourself.
