Art History

My teaching background includes art instruction. My certification includes an endorsement in art. I was an art teacher in grades K-8 for several years. Some of my students won district art awards. I have taught jewelry making to adults and children. My specialties are art history and metal arts. In my art history lessons, I love to teach my students to create art similar to the art of that time period. I have taught all art subjects. My best instructional areas are 3-D art, metal, and ceramics. My favorite creative area is chain making. I am available for individual or group lessons.

Elementary (K-6th)

My teaching experience includes grades K-8 in all subjects. I have tutored students in their homes in reading and math. The student is the number one priority. My experience working with students individually is both enjoyable and effective. I have taught students from different countries and with special needs or disabilities. I am knowledgeable in goal setting, planning, teaching, and assessing each students learning requirements.

ESL/ESOL

My state endorsement for teaching English as a Second Language is for grades K-12. I have tutored adults in English language acquisition. I have taught for 14 years. Twelve of the fourteen years, I taught students with academic English language learning needs. My knowledge of teaching English is extensive. My lessons would be individualized and meet the requirements of the student. Learning a language is quite different from learning other subject areas.
