My name is Matthew, I am a computer animator and multimedia designer. I have been working in the industry for about 2 years now. That doesn't sound like much, but I immersed myself in the industry for 10 years soaking up all the info the best of the best have to offer. I have worked as a 3D modeler/rigger, and multimedia designer. I am proficient in Adobe Flash/Action Script 3.0, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, Autodesk Maya/Mel script, and html. I love to share the things I am passionate about. I also read, write and speak Korean as I lived there for 2 years as a missionary and love the culture, food and people there.

Adobe Flash

I use Adobe Flash everyday focusing on Action Script 3.0. I have used flash for over 3 years act as a lead in my vocation to help others on my team build their proficiency in it. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate myself at a 9 although I find myself learning new ways to do things all the time. Whether I'm using sound, video, interactive media or building an application, Flash is always the final format my work takes its form in. I also teach classes in game programming in as3 at Collins College.

Maya

I have used Maya for over 5 years now, 3 of those in industry positions. I have a strong understanding of MEL and Python in Maya and it works under the hood. I also have extensive knowledge in the area of rigging and animation, but am well versed in the areas of modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering, dynamic simulation and special FX (hair, fur, liquid).

I use Maya almost everyday with my current employer and is the software of choice when it comes to freelance.
