Welcome to Wyzant. I am a professional writer and copy editor. I tutor English composition/writing skills as well as Spanish for beginners.
I graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University (Ivy League) with a BA in Comparative Literature.
Since 1996 I have worked at home as a freelance copy editor and writer. My grammar is excellent, and I copy edit and guest-write for a popular podcast. I have also edited for the Arizona Supreme Court and the Arizona Diamondbacks, among many others.
In 2006, my writing guide was published by Writer's Digest Books. It is called "The Curious Case of the Misplaced Modifier: How to Solve the Mysteries of Weak Writing." I give my tutoring students a free copy of this book since I use it as our text.
In 2007-8, I was the grammar columnist for Writer's Digest Magazine, and I currently write the "Watch Your Language" column. I also produce a blog about writing.
In addition, I teach writing seminars to home inspectors and to local businesses.
During high school, I tutored about eight fellow students in Spanish grammar. I raised their grades from C's and D's to A's and B's.
I can fix up your grammar and will help you write better. I look forward to meeting you.
Good luck in your studies, Bonnie
