Originally from Vermont, I came to Colorado after retiring from the US Air Force. I am now a student at Grand Canyon University working on my PHD of Education. I have an Associate's in Dental Assisting AND Dental Laboratory, a Bachelor's of Education - Early Childhood, and a Master's of Education - Instructional Technology (both from Wayland Baptist University). While in the military, I was a dental assistant for eight years, a dental lab tech for 11, and for one year I managed the base correctional custody program. Along with my primary jobs while in the military I was: a base CPR/first aid trainer for 10+ years, the education and training manager for the dental squadron for 7+ years, and the base manpower team trainer for 5+ years. I have been married for 15 years & have 3 wonderful boys (16, 14, & 7). I have a passion for teaching others regardless of age or subject almost as much as my passion for learning. I believe strongly that all people learn in different ways & I love the challenge of finding what works best for every person. I personally learn by actually doing & applying lessons to real life situations if possible & love to try to incorporate that as much as I can. I do require a 24 hour cancellation notice. If you cancel the same day, I will require you to either reschedule within that week or a $20 cancellation fee. If you do not contact me to cancel & are a no show, the first time is $30 & then it increases in $5 increments for every time after ($35 for 2nd no show, $40 for 3rd, etc.).
