My name is Tanessa, and I am an undergrad student at the University of Missouri. I am working on a degree in Biological Anthropology, and hope to earn my doctorates one day. In past experiences I have tutored at an elementary school working with students from K-4th grade, and while in high school I tutored students during my free advisement periods. I now stay active in study groups during my college semesters which has helped me to acquire many different ways to study and learn. I think it's essential that students incorporate fun into learning, which has proven to spark interest. Games and learning activities can really help when it comes to learning new material. I also like teaching the importance of time management which personally has been a life saver for me! I am most comfortable with tutoring elementary and middle school aged students. Through this experience I hope to be able to share what I know and really improve the learning habits of students. Although school can be a difficult time for some, it should really be a joyful experience in establishing the stepping stones for life. Thanks! (:
