I specialize in effective, individualized teaching of students who are discouraged, frustrated or overwhelmed with the challenges of learning in general or in specific subjects. I have thirty-four years of successful teaching experience with the last twenty-five years in the Prescott Unified School District. I am certified in K-12 with SEI and ECE endorsements in the State of Arizona and Birth through Adult in the State of California. I have taught age infancy and preschool (in six different counties in the State of Arizona) through adults at Community Colleges, including Yavapai College and PCC, Palau Community College. I am also highly qualified under NCLB. I have traveled extensively and taught overseas in Pago Pago, American Samoa where all of my students learned English as their second language and read at grade level or higher before the end of the school year as a result of my instruction. I have experience in teaching each grade level due to the fact that I followed my own successful children up through the grades throughout my teaching career in public schools. I am very well aware of the expectations and teaching styles of the classroom teachers in the Prescott Schools, the local curriculum and the Arizona State Standards.

I now have the opportunity to tutor after school hours in the afternoons and evenings as well as during school hours to assist struggling students and/or high achieving students who are motivated to perform better in school and on standardized tests such as the AIMS, ASVAT, GED, and SAT to meet their future goals. I currently substitute teach at Yavapai Community College part-time as I have just retired with the Arizona State Retirement System. However, I am not ready to give up my passion of teaching. I inspire students by making the learning process enjoyable while they develop improved study skills that they will be able to use in all of their subjects throughout their school years. I love teaching each and every student that I have the privilege of working with, and, I thoroughly enjoy each developmental stage of learning. I have a current Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card. I am ready to help you improve your academic achievement.
