I am a college board certified AP calculus AB/BC teacher, and 2010/2011 AP calculus AB/BC reader. Besides math, I also have teaching and tutoring experience in AP/IB physics.

In 2007 I presented a paper to AP calculus teachers in a MathFest conference sponsored by MAA.

Last year, my students achieved 85% passing rate in AP calculus, with more students got 5 points than any other point(s).

In the past 6 years, I answered about 25,000 math questions, and now I am one of the top five contributors in yahoo's math forum.

Regarding my tutoring experience, I had maximum ten students to tutor one-on-one in a single day when I was in California. Many students I tutored stay with me from year to year. My biggest advantage in doing tutoring is my high school teaching experience and strong background in math and physics. Algebra 1

I taught Algebra I many times in middle school and in high school. I once had a student who struggled in Algebra I, and stayed in my class for one-on-one tutoring help for a year. When she transferred out to Texas, she felt she became a math genius. Last year, she got accepted to the University of Texas at Austin.

Algebra 2

I taught Algebra 2 more times than any other subjects. Also, I tutored most students in Algebra 2. If you trust me, give me a call. I can answered any Algebra 2 questions you have with a simpler way you can understand.

Calculus

Calculus is my most favorable subject to teach. I can show you very different but simple ways to do calculus problems.
I have been teaching AP Calculus since 2005.

Geometry

I am teaching Geometry in a summer school now.

Physics

I had a BS in Physics from a prestigious college. I also taught and tutored AP Physics and IB Physics HL.

Prealgebra

I have prepared students for AMC 8 and mathcounts since 2008.

Precalculus

Precalculus is the best math subject I can tutor differently from most other tutors do because I really know the concepts behind the problem solving.
For example, this morning I solved a problem asked by a student:

I have a much better understanding in trigonometry than most high school math teachers. Also, I taught and tutored extensive trigonometry in precalculus many times. Try me to see what's the difference.

SAT Math

This is the subject I taught and tutored most!

GRE

I took GRE in 1992 and in 2005. In both GRE tests I took, I got 800 in math. I can definitely help you to prepare for GRE math.

ACT Math

I didn't see any challenge at all in ACT. If you find a hard ACT math problem, let me show you how to solve it quickly.

Last year, I taught ACT math in my high school too.

Chinese

I taught Chinese in my high school and in CCSA for 2 years. I am a native Chinese speaker.

Chemical Engineering

I have a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University. I am especially strong in reaction engineering (TA) and transport phenomena (my adviser's course).
