I worked as a tutor in English for one year, as a Writing Tutor for one year, and as a Teacher's Assistant for one year at Bunker Hill Community College in Boston, MA before moving to Phoenix. I graduated from Bunker Hill Community College with an Associates Degree in English in December of 2010. I am an amateur history buff, constantly reading, and I feel confident in helping High School students study History. English is my forte, all aspects of it, reading, writing, and speaking. I was involved in a graduate study through Harvard University about how students respond to Teacher comments on papers. The interview and filming process was very informative and fun. As a student, tutor, and student-teacher, the process gave valuable insight in how to approach the writing and analyzing of papers from all viewpoints to ensure that the best possible paper is written and submitted in the truest voice of the writer. This is the viewpoint that I have taken in every tutoring session I have undertaken and I hope that every student has been helped by my guidance and expertise.
I am currently working at Glendale Community College as a tutor in English, Reading, and ESL.
