My name is Anna M.and I have been teaching languages for the past 20 years plus. Before moving to Phoenix, I was a part-time substitute interpreter at the U.N. I grew up in Italy speaking Italian, lived in France, Spain and Argentina where I attended school and learned to speak the languages.
After moving to Phoenix, I was a language instructor at the Berlits Academy of language,as well as a private language instructor for executives of Honeywell and MacDonnell Douglas and most recently I was teaching high school students at a Phoenix charter school. I have passed the Language Qualification exam with the Arizona Dept of Education.
I have a wide variety of experience, but teaching and relating to folks who truly want to learn to communicate in another language is my forte and what I enjoy the most.
If you are serious about learning a new language, you should try me first. You will enjoy my classes and I will plan them according to your main interests, whether it is professional or for pleasure. You will add more pleasure and more fun to that next trip abroad when you can laugh with the locals in their own language, or when you shop, or go to a Spanish or Italian restaurant and be able to read their menu and talk to the host with ease rather than depend on your tour guide or mini-book of "useful phrases".
Keep in mind that "knowledge is power" and with more than one language, you will be adding another tool that will help you navigate through this global world that we live in.
