I have been teaching people how to use computer applications for 26 years. I have worked in local businesses as a trainer and a training manager and created my own computer consulting business. For the past 16 years, I have been teaching computer application courses at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. I also teach in the education program for University of Phoenix where I teach teachers how to teach. I promise that I will find the right way to work with you. I will teach you using your learning style whether you learn best through visual, auditory, or kinesthetic methods.

My expertise is teaching people how to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. I have trained and tutored students from novice to expert and from 6 years old to 80 years young. I am a very patient person and Microsoft Certified.

I prefer to teach you using your own computer and computer applications. That way, we know how your computer is setup, and we can make adjustments if necessary. We can work at your home, or in a local establishment such as a library.

Microsoft Excel

Excel doesn't have to be scary. Together we can create basic spreadsheet formulas and several types of charts, and format your spreadsheet to have a professional look. We will discuss terms like relative and absolute cell references, filtering, and sorting. We can insert the data and charts into Microsoft Word or PowerPoint.

General Computer

I can help you with your computer skills. I have been teaching students (ages 6 to 75ish) to use computers since 1983. I am very patient and will help you with the skills that you want to learn. Together we can setup a plan to follow each lesson, or you can devise your own plan each lesson. Microsoft Word

Microsoft Word can be used to create business letters, research papers, flyers, brochures, resumes, and much more. I have taught hundreds of people to use Microsoft Word, and I can help you too. One of my specialties is to edit research papers formatted in APA style format.

Microsoft PowerPoint

I love teaching people to use Microsoft PowerPoint. I have been working with the product since 1987. I have taught over 500 students how to use the presentation software, and have created many business presentations. Together, we can create a very simple presentation, or we can create a presentation with pizzazz. The most current version of PowerPoint is 2010. I also can work with you using 2003 or 2007.

Proofreading

Proofreading papers is a specialty of mine. I can help you review your paper for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors. I am also knowledgeable with APA format and teach this topic to university professors. Your instructor should review your paper for content, although I will let you know if what you have written is not clear and concise. I have used and trained students to use Microsoft Windows 3.1, Vista, and 7. I am proficient in creating folders and navigating through the Windows program. I have been teaching people how to use computer applications for 26 years.
