I currently serve as the mathematics department chairperson at an area high school. I have been with this school since it opened in 2008. I have been teaching mathematics since 1999 at the secondary level. From 2003 to 2007, I taught multiple mathematics courses as an adjunct faculty instructor at Chandler Gilbert Community College. Prior to beginning my teaching career in 1999, I worked full-time in the real estate industry as a new homes sales manager and consultant from 1988 until the time I began teaching. The high school courses I have taught include Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry. I also created a curriculum for and teach a fourth-year math alternative to PreCalculus called, “Financial Planning and Investments.” As an adjunct faculty instructor at the collegiate level, I have taught Arithmetic Review, Introductory Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, and Mathematics for Elementary School Instruction. My ability to develop the skills of students who struggle with basic math concepts is exceptionally good. I have unique and creative yet fun ways to help students remember the essential math concepts they need to know to find success. I have taught children, teens and adults of all ages. Thank you for your consideration.
