I have been immersed in the arts since I was a very young child being involved with art galleries and museums of fine art for as long as I can remember. My experience as a successful childhood artist lead me to a successful career as a wildlife artist even before graduating from art school with a bachelor of arts degree in fine arts and printmaking. Other than being a commercial artist as a wildlife illustrator with globally published works I am also an art instructor for independent living communities, a classroom instructor in my local township community center, a private art instructor, conduct professional critiques for all artists in my local art community, and am also a judge for a prominent state wide art guild. I also have a vast knowledge of color theory and Photoshop having been in the printing industry for nearly twenty years. Although over the years having received much acclaim winning art competitions which include being an artist with best in show status and a finalist in an international art competition with my entry being printed in a well renowned "coffee table" book, but my true passion is teaching others.
Being a classically trained artist creating and teaching with all mediums is my specialty. I have provided private lessons to a range of students with degrees of abililty from beginner to professional since 2010. I believe that each student is unique and a lesson plan will be formulated with the appropriate content for your personal individual needs and goals. All class lessons are taught with an encouraging, constructive yet disciplined atmosphere. You will complete each session with a feeling of progress and accomplishment toward becoming the artist you ultimately wish to be, whether it be as a professional or for the pure pleasure and fun of being an artist!
