Hey everybody, my name is Ryan. I recently received an Associate’s degree in Biology from Arizona Western College where I graduated with highest honors. While at Arizona Western, I was able to participate in the honors program, I was on the Dean’s List for four consecutive semesters, I was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa (a National honors society), and was a recipient of a National Science Foundation STEM scholarship. Currently in my senior year at Northern Arizona University, where I am majoring in Microbiology. From there I plan on going to PA school with the end goal of becoming a Physician Assistant specializing in Oncology.

As far as tutoring, I have had experience in tutoring a diverse set of subject matter. Most of my tutoring experience has been one-on-one and small groups. I have tutored college students in Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus Math courses. I have also tutored General Chemistry I and II, Organic Chemistry I and II, as well as General Biology I and II to college students. I have also taken courses in Genetics, Cell Biology, Molecular Techniques, and the list goes on. At the high school level I have tutored Chemistry, Algebra I and II, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus. I am also comfortable tutoring Jr. High students in Math and Sciences.

Outside of school, I am a very active person. I enjoy outside activities like camping, fishing and hiking. I'm also an avid SCUBA diver, with aspirations to become a dive master one day. I love pretty much any sport, be it team organized sports, or something as simple as throwing a Frisbee around the park, I'm there. From all of these experiences I find that I can easily relate to people of all ages, which helps me when I tutor various individuals.

Well, thanks for taking the time to read a little about who I am and what I do. I look forward to meeting with you and helping you understand that subject that just isn't working out. 'Til then!

I have played baseball from the time I was a small child. Throughout the years I have played literally every position on the field. I feel as though my understanding of baseball is thorough enough to teach others the sport.

Bible Studies

I recently spent 2 years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Throughout this service mission, I was given the opportunity to study the Bible for at least 1 hour a day, every day. I have extensive knowledge on the stories of the bible, as well as the history behind those stories.

I have been a novice body builder for the last 2 years. Through this time I have increased all of my core lifts well over 100lbs each. I'm currently working towards an Associate's degree in Biology, with plans to get my Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology. From there I plan on going to Medical school with the end goal of becoming a Pediatric Oncologist.

I played four years of High School football, two of which I started on the Varsity team. I was also a Captain of the team my Senior year. Since High School I have been a football ref for a local youth football league. I have extensive understanding of the rules of the game and how individual positions are played.

Awesome! My son (Jr. in HS) reports that he is very satisfied with Ryan and his ability to "teach." He also notes that Ryan is prepared, shows up on time, and is a "cool" guy, easy to interact with, and most importantly, my son is learning from him. He looks forward to his weekly sessions with him. Keep up the good work, Ryan. ...
