Teacher with Credentials and Fingerprint Clearance

As the title says, I have my BA degree in Art, CA & AZ teaching Credentials and a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card. My credentials are in the area of Special Needs and Adult Education. I have taught multiple subjects (Math, English, History) from 6th to 10th graders so this is my comfort zone. Being an artist, I am particularly fond of creative writing and geometry. I specialize in figuring out what the learning block is and giving students strategies to overcome their roadblocks, thereby, helping students to help themselves.

I had my own tutoring company a few years ago so, I am not new to tutoring. Being that I was a teacher for over 10 years, I am totally comfortable going with you to talk to teachers, etc. I'm available after 5 pm Tuesday & Thursday evenings... and Saturdays before 5 pm.

I taught remedial Algebra and Geometry. I am an expert at teaching concepts and fundamentals.

Phonics

In California, I passed the CBEST, CSET (multiple subject), RICA (reading intervention) and every other assessment needed to teach students who struggle with English/Reading.

Special Needs

Hi, I have been teaching Special Needs classes for about ten years. I have a valid teaching credential in California and Arizona. I have been trained to help students with a Mild to Moderate disability in the following areas (Attention Deficit, Dyslexia, Mild Autism, Specific Learning Disability).

Bible Studies

I have completed four classes at the Dallas Theological Seminary. I also have experience as a missionary and a Sunday school teacher.

Drawing

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Art from CSULB and still have all of the books that I used to learn to draw.

Linear Algebra

I taught remedial Algebra and Geometry at the 9th/10th grade level.

Social Studies

I have taught Ancient History for many years. I have subbed in classes of Life Skills, American History, Economics, etcetera, enough to be very familiar with it. As a bonus, I love to learn about different cultures in my personal time.
