Hello,
My name is Dennis. I have recently taken an early retirement from a long and successful business career in order to begin a new career in the field of education, my true passion. I have spent much time during my last years in the business world recruiting, mentoring, and tutoring the next generation of business leaders. The personal satisfaction that I received from this inspired me to become a tutor.
I have an MBA with a Finance concentration from the University of Connecticut. I have been certified as a substitute teacher in Arizona. I have a naturally affinity for numbers and am highly educated in most areas of math. I enjoy teaching math at the elementary level as well as business and finance related courses to college students.
I am much more collaborative than prescriptive in my teaching style. I will work with the student not only to identify needs, but also to personalize the path to learning.
Learning, as with most things, is facilitated when it is enjoyable.
