My name is Ivory Hildman. I was born and raised in Taipei Taiwan. Most of my family and friends are living in Taiwan. My marriage brought me to the United States and I am residing in Casa Grande, Arizona with my husband.
My philosophy of teaching and learning is based on a belief that teaching and learning are interrelated as two gearwheels in a machine. The student should be the center of this machine and the teacher and the student should be equal partners in the learning process to move forward. My role involves sharing the necessary resources within my expertise with the students. In addition, the students will be well prepared to solve the question or problem using the resources I provided. I am a believer of hands-on learning and it reflects in my objectives in teaching. One of my objectives in teaching is to facilitate learning by helping students gain the essential skills and apply them in their own learning.
I hear and I forget, I see and I remember. I do and I understand.
