I am incredibly passionate about helping young adults with disabilities succeed in high school (academically, socially, and behaviorally), graduate on time, develop college ready skills, develop job skills, plan for future career and post secondary education, and develop necessary functional skills to be a valuable member of society.
For the past 10 years, I have worked in the high school setting as a special education teacher where I have supported young adults with disabilities be successful in high school. The various classes that I have taught include: Career Development
, Basic English
, Transition Classes, and Academic Support. In addition to working for the public school system, I have also worked for a transition day program in the community and worked with Special Olympics in developing Unified Sports programs.
Through my experiences, I have worked with individuals with a multitude of disabilities including individuals with Autism

, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Auditory and Visual Processing), ADD/ADHD
