My name is Paula, 36, from Bogota, Colombia. I moved to NWA in November 2010 from lovely TX, and have lived in the US for 10 years: 2 years in Chicago, 6 months in LA, 3 years in NYC, 3 years in Dallas, 1 year in NWA, and I'm sure the list we'll go on no matter how much we love living here... I work as a freelance project manager/translator. While in Chicago and Dallas, I taught Spanish after work, as teaching is something that I really enjoy, and the Spanish language is simply my passion. In NYC I stopped teaching, as the city and its pace are not made for after-work activities at all... You just want to go home after work! I have been with Wyzant for about 4 years, and have had students of all ages and personalities.
I do speak English, but as part of my teaching method I prefer to speak with my students in Spanish only. That was something that really helped me when I learned English. I have experience teaching Spanish to children and young adults in Colombia, Chicago, and Dallas. I hold a BS in Communications and Advertising from the Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia.
