My name is Elizabeth S. My friends call me Liz, and I welcome you to do the same. I recently got married to the love of my life and moved to Alabama to be with him as he pursues his goals.
Before moving to Alabama, I worked as an assistant PK teacher where I taught with a co-teacher who became a great friend. More recently than that, I was teaching kindergarten
with a very prestigious public school system in GA. My students made great success in the areas of literacy with several students moving from non-readers to on or above grade level reading
by the end of the year! I am very proud of my little ones' successes.
My educational background shows that I earned a degree from Liberty University in the area of a Reading Specialist, and graduated from Messiah College with a degree in Elementary Education
. I love to read all kinds of books, and love to help others read as well. My skills extend to grammar
, and fluency. However, I am a certified Elementary teacher and can work with your child in all elementary grade level subjects.
As a teacher, I believe that every child has one of three main learning styles: hands-on, auditory, or visual. As a tutor I will spend time getting to know the learning style of your child so that I can create lessons that will benefit him or her.
One of my favorite hobbies is art
. I love to draw, paint, take pictures, and be creative. As a tutor I would seek to combine my love for creativity and teaching into unique lessons to promote proficient skills.
I hope to hear from you soon, and look forward to working with you!
