Hello! My name is Marilyn. I am a former Mathematics teacher from Alabama. I taught in the Alabama School System for over four years. I have worked with students on all levels. My bachelors degree was in Mathematics. I have tutored for over ten years with great success from my students.

Although I will be new to this program there are some things that you might need to know about me, I am dependable, independent, and willing to work with any subject. I do not see any person as a challenge but as an opportunity to reach and challenge them, and I will NEVER talk down to anyone against your inabilities but will only yell at your abilities.

Algebra 1

For over fifteen years I taught or tutored individuals in Algebra 1. I have the capability to help prepare your child for the upcoming school year.

Algebra 2

Algebra 2 is nothing more than a continuation of Algebra 1 and Geometry. Having a strong background in those two subjects will help Algebra 2 be an easier transition.

American History

History can be a very enjoyable subject if you know how to "connect the dots." This subject is made of heroes and villains but in the end you win by learning the difference between the two.

Biology

Biology can produce many questions about life itself but only you have the tools to stretch your imagination to sample what life has in store for you. To truly understand biology you have to read and comprehend. So again the world is yours!

Geometry

Geometry deals with gaining a comprehension of shapes and how to use them in a mathematical fashion.

Prealgebra

Pre-Algebra can be fun and exciting. It has the potential to open doors not just to moving to the next level math wise but to expand your grasp of life.

Precalculus

Precalculus deals with a lot of memorization of formulas and "thinking out the solution". This type of math can carry you on to other clues to connecting math and making it a part of your everyday life.

Trigonometry

Trigonometry is a combination of Geometry and Algebra. If approached the right way you will increase a love for math that will carry you on to college.

GED

They always say that it is never too late to get an education. The best tool is to educate yourself for you and not for anyone else.
