I have tutored college students as I was finishing my undergraduate BS in biochemistry at Eckerd College. Along with tutoring, I was a teacher's assistant for organic chemistry. I have taken multiple chemistry courses including: general chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry instrumental analysis, physical chemistry, biochemistry, and many others. I have also taken multiple biology courses ranging from molecular physiology to pharmacology. I have taken multiple math courses including statistics, calculus 1, and calculus 2. I am applying to pharmacy school for the fall of 2013. I took the standardized pharmacy college admission test (PCAT) in July 18, 2012 and scored 93 percentile indicating my proficiency in the math, sciences, and verbal abilities.
I have tutored many students at my college. My strategy is to simplify the material as much as possible while making it applicable to more difficult problems and examples. Along with simplifying concepts, I tend to make visuals that help the student learn as well as apply the material that is being covered.
