I am a highly qualified, (PhD degree in Math and Physics) certified teacher with teaching/tutoring experience at in high school classroom, as well as at college and university levels. I am also a participant of the AMSTI (Alabama Math, Science and Technology Initiative) program.
Having being a part of several levels (high school, college, university), I bring a unique perspective to the table. I understand where the students come from and also where they are going. I sincerely believe that "everybody can practice mathematics" and "everybody will fall in love with physics" as I did. While teaching/tutoring, I share with my students not only my knowledge, but also my attitude, and usually they find themselves engaged in the studying process, never mind either a student has deficiencies in math, or he/she is preparing for the higher level test.
It is known that Mathematics is a language of Science, one of which is Physics. When the student is taking one of math courses with me, he/she will have opportunity not only to see how to write and solve equation, but also how it will be applied to solve scientific problem. And vice versa, when student is taking any course of Physics with me, we will have to mention some math material. I find that this approach teaches student that he/she can be creative in Math and Science. Once a person can be creative, he/she will get a feeling of power, the "Power of Knowledge."
