Hi, my name is Steven. I'm from a small town called Eustis, FL. I'm here finishing up my Bachelor's Degree in Microbial, Cellular and Molecular Biology. I love to teach conceptual Biology and just about anything else. It's been awhile since I've had High School mathematics, but I don't consider it a challenge to re-learn anything in order to help some one grasp the subject.

My Father is a retired dentist and my Mother is a nurse. I have 3 brothers, one a twin. My oldest brother is 28 and teaches History and Geography to 6th and 7th graders and also taught ESE to classroom of 30 mixed age students at Spring Creek Elementary in Paisley, FL. My next oldest brother is starting grad school for Wildlife Management. My twin, who has already graduated, is entering the Peace Corps in September to serve in Rwanda for three years before seeking a law degree.

I use to work for place called Camp Boggy Creek. It is a camp for kids for chronic and life-threatening illnesses. I worked there every summer for three years as the administrative assistant in the Patch where I coordinated and communicated with the Camper Recruiters, the Psych/Social, the Medical Director and the Nursing Director. I also greeted all campers and parents with their file upon their arrival to camp and was responsible for coordinating their trips home. I love it there and I love all of the kids I got to know and wish to go back as a volunteer every summer once I finish my degree.

I hope to have a teaching position when I go to Grad-School, hopefully in Public Health (this is a multifaceted pursuit that really involves an eclectic amount of knowledge). I also hope to continue being a beacon for people that need some one to look towards for being responsible to themselves and others as well as their job.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Soccer

I have played soccer all my life. I played 4 years of soccer in high school, 2 on the varsity team, and continued to play intramural soccer in College at Auburn. I'm well informed on training exercises for footwork, form running and endurance.

Tennis

I played two years of high school tennis and took private lessons with my coach, Andrew Connett of Mt. Dora, FL, for over five years. I was a member of USTA in FL and competed in several tournaments. On my school team I dis-located my shoulder several times and was forced to sit-out my senior season. I'm still capable of playing and instructing on basic shots and playing and serving style.
