I'm currently a senior in Nutrition/Dietetics at Auburn University. I've tutored fellow students in World History, Chemistry, and Microeconomics at the college level - both privately and in small groups. I received a 28 on my ACT score in high school and have taken 2 AP History courses and 2 AP English courses in my high school career.

Although my degree mostly focuses on the sciences, I'm also very passionate about music taking several theory, skills, and appreciation classes. Playing flute for more than 10 years in both marching and concert bands in leadership roles such as principal player, I'm also willing to give lessons.

I'm also very strong in English/History because my parents both raised me with a strong importance and passion for both. I've received nothing less than A's in both of these subjects in college.

I currently have a 3.62 cumulative GPA in college, graduating with a 4.0 in high school.

I work a lot with in-class examples and your test book, infusing humorous examples to help students remember the material better. I'm very lecture oriented but I'm a firm believer in impromptu quizzes which test the student's knowledge. If they continue to give the correct answers asking why and knowing where the answer comes from solidifies both knowledge and confidence and stressful test situations which can be applicable not only to future classes but several other experiences. I also show proper note-taking in class and study techniques which can be applied to all classes they take.

Biology

The study of every form of life ranging from plants all the way up to the most complex life forms. Chemistry

Chemistry is the study of both organic and inorganic molecules interacting with each other to form different substances displaying an array of different properties. Grammar

Evaluates basic convention of the English language such as subject-verb agreement, direct object and prepositional phrase usage.

I have never received less than and A in any English/Grammar course I've ever taken and I'm familiar with both the diagramming and Shirley method approach to grammar acquisition.

European History

Looks at the chronological history of Europe ranging from the medieval ages through current history. Evaluates cultural, political, and economic contexts of each time period in european history.

I took AP European History in high school and received both A's and B's throughout both high school and college courses.

English

Instruction in subject-verb agreement, proper preposition use and knowledge of basic language and vocabulary expansion.

I've taken several different forms of English courses through my whole educational career. I was in spelling bees throughout middle school, placing highly in district and county levels. I've never received less than an A at the university level in writing and I took several AP English courses in high school.

Psychology

The study of the brain biologically, behaviorally, and socially. I took introduction to psychology last semester and received over a 100 average in the class. I love the study of the brain and am passionate about it. I've also had several supporting classes including anatomy which has given me a better grasp on the biological aspect of it specifically.

Anatomy

For my major I've been required to take at least 2 anatomy courses in my college career, both of which I've received nothing less than an A. I can instruct students on proper studying techniques for anatomy because all the memorization can be daunting. I also have several techniques to succeed in the lab portion of your course. While I teach, I focus on the regulation/function of the system which helps the student to learn it's location better than rote memorization.

Literature

Looks at different authors/books and addresses main themes of the novels as well as the historical context which those main themes reflect.

I have a love for literature. I've received nothing less than A's in all literature classes I've taken and I read classics in my spare time. I specialize in Charles Dickens.

Flute

This involves learning different basic skills such as scales, dynamics, and stylization to play advanced music both in solo and ensemble work - like band, orchestra, quartet, trio, and other smaller ensembles. Once basic skills are mastered, we can work with several rudimentary exercises to advance playing ability in speed, volume, and efficiency.
