Biology/Chemistry/Physical Science Tutoring

I am an experienced professional with 10 years teaching experience at the secondary and college level. I have a PhD in Limnology/Aquatic Ecology and am well versed in botany, zoology, chemistry, and physical science. I also have 10 years experience in the private sector as an environmental scientist dealing with ecological and regulatory compliance issues for military organizations. I am also experienced with conservation issues from time spent working with a land trust organization in the southeast.

Addressing my other talents, I am a USTA-certified tennis official. I have played competitive tennis since my teens and was on the varsity team in high school and college. I don't play much anymore, but am available for basic and advanced instruction and coaching.

Zoology

My undergraduate education was a balance of zoology and botany. Botany

Botany was a major emphasis area during pursuit of my BS degree and continued into my graduate education where the emphasis was in aquatic botany. I have used my botanical knowledge extensively during my career. I have headed projects to investigate sensitive floral species in Tennessee (Stone's River Bladderpod) and Georgia (Large-flowered Skullcap). I have also used my botanical knowledge during conservation work for a land trust organization in completing Baseline Documentation Reports.

Tennis
