Tutors may only commence communication with potential WyzAnt students via tutor’s
WyzAnt email address. Tutor is not permitted to use his/her personal email address
to communicate with students.
Tutors may also communicate with a student by telephone, but only after the student
has appropriate billing information on file with WyzAnt. Prior to this time, Tutor
may not request a student’s telephone number.
Each Tutor is responsible for confirming with WyzAnt whether a student has appropriate
billing information on file before calling or meeting with the student.
Each Tutor should respond to student email inquires to the best of his/her ability.
Tutors should respond to all student inquiries via e-mail within 72 hours even if
not interested in accepting a new assignment.
Unless otherwise agreed upon between the Tutor and the student, the start time for
a Lesson will be the time at which the actual tutoring began and the end time will
be the time at which the tutoring ended.
Complimentary Lessons are permitted, but not before the Tutor has confirmed whether
a student has appropriate billing information on file. Complimentary Lessons are
at the Tutor’s discretion and WyzAnt is not responsible for payment for Complimentary
Lessons.
Each Tutor should establish his/her own cancellation policy which should not be
unreasonable and which, prior to institution, must be communicated to a student.
Tutors may adjust their hourly rate at any time. Following an adjustment in a Tutor’s
hourly rate, the new rate will only affect students who contact the Tutor after
the date of the rate change. Former students of that Tutor shall retain the rate
under which they began tutoring with the Tutor.
Each Tutor may increase or decrease his/her hourly rate for a particular tutoring
assignment, provided a student agrees to the temporary change. Tutor must communicate
the temporary rate change to WyzAnt prior to invoicing.
