Tutors set their own rate and most range in price from $30 to $50 per hour, with others either lower or higher depending on experience and cost of living considerations. However, WyzAnt does offer discounts to our students for making an advance purchase.
- You receive a 5% discount on packages of $200-$399, with a total cost of $190-$379.
- A package of lessons that would cost $400-$999 will receive a 10% discount, resulting in an upfront charge of $360-$899.
- A package worth $1,000-$2,499 will be eligible for a 15% discount, with a total cost of $850-$2124.
- Packages of $2,500+ will receive a 20% discount and cost $2,000 and up.
Remember, satisfaction with your first hour of tutoring is guaranteed and the unused portion of your purchase amount is both refundable and transferable to any WyzAnt tutor.

Email With Tutors
How Do I correspond with prospective tutors?
Once you find a tutor you like, the next step is to email that tutor with any questions
you may have. You should almost always hear back within 48-72 hours. While we encourage
you to speak with your tutor on the phone, will not be permitted to exchange phone
numbers with a tutor until you have submitted valid credit card information. Please
see the next step for more information.
On each tutor's profile, you will see a link that says, "email this tutor today".
Follow this link to send an email directly to a tutor.
At the bottom of the email page, you will see an option that says "notify other
tutors". If you select this box, we will email other highly-qualified tutors in
your area who might be able to help you. Interested tutors will then email you directly.
During your correspondence with potential tutors, you will want to determine a location
and schedule for the tutoring. Most of the tutoring scheduled through WyzAnt is
done in the home of the student or at a safe and mutually convenient public space
like a church, library, or local coffee shop.

After each lesson you have with a tutor, the tutor will login to the system and
enter the start and end time of the lesson. Your account will be debited the appropriate
amount and you will receive an email with these details.
At any point, you can login to your WyzAnt account and view your credit balance
as well as your previous tutoring activity. This way, you can be 100% certain that
the account is accurate.
