WyzAnt.com is your source for tutors and students.http://www.wyzant.com/Tutors/CA/Oakland/8054918/Blog/7197/my_qualifications.aspxMy Qualificationsposted by WyzAnt tutor: Lisa R.

As well as an MFA and BFA, I hold a Vocational and Technical Education CALIFORNIA TEACHING CREDENTIAL specifically to teach adults and K-12 students the following:

Computer Technology
Fine Art
Commercial Art
Computer Applications including Adobe Photoshop, FC Pro, AE, Adobe Illustrator, and other industry standard applications for fine and commercial art production as well as film production

I hold a Masters of Fine Art AND a Bachelors of Fine Art from California Institute of the Art in film specializing in animation with a focus on figurative and representational work. Because of the demands of animation, At CalArts (known as 1 of the 5 top art schools in the world), ALL figure drawing takes place within the animation department; not the fine art department thus where figure drawing and representational drawing is concerned, the entire institute looks to the animation department for training and that is my forte. Growing up the daughter of one of the original Disney animators, I was already working in the industry while still in high school. It is widely understood in the industry that painting goes right along with drawing for those in the animation or any other of the illustrative arts. I was already working as an illustrator and as an assistant art director while still in high school because I had been drawing and painting and studying both from the time I was 4.

I have served the visual art and design needs (including animation as well as functional and product design) for companies ranging from Apple to EDS and many others.

Most of the time, we in the industry review portfolios to evaluate qualification. As that is not possible here on the WyzAnt site (which may be developed more for non-art-related subject matter), I welcome your inquiries and hopefully, I can provide you with samples, et al to satisfy your questions.
