Yesterday we met again to work on Algebra II. We made great progress in evaluating the equations. Using the rules of logarithms, we were able to take the equations solving for X and either take them as they were and use the rules. Or we expanded them and then collapsed them to get the solutions. My student worked hard and it was a great sight to see comprehension in something that previously seemed to elude him. We even tackled a problem "for the fun of it" to make sure the lessons were holding.
I look forward to helping again, but right now the student seems prepared to move on. Still, it was a great opportunity.
